Thomas Reynolds, an English seaman and merchant, arrived in Portugal in 1820, attracted by the potential of the wine trade. His son, Robert in 1850 founded the Reynolds winery in the Alentejo region of Portugal. For six generations Reynolds has been synonymous to excellent wines.
